iGO 2008 accepts .kml format. Save your KML files in /igo8/content/userdata/poi
When you make a backup your POIs will be in SD\iGO8\save\user.upoi and SD\backup\user.upoi.

Hi Lazar!
After I do that can I put the user.upoi in the poi folder? Will IGO8 be able read it from there? Also, can this data be renamed like "speedcameras.upoi"? Would IGO8 still be able to read the information from that?
In other words, can I have a speddcamera.upoi, a Fuelstations.upoi, etc.?
Or is it purely just a "backup" format' so that it can only be used to restore the KLM files?
