One pays for updates, what does one get...2 hours of updating and...nothing new. In 2016 a 4-lane highway was opened with 2 very long tunnels, now, September 2017, no mention of this.
Tomtom calls this updating?
If it's of interest the Tom Tom App for smart phones costs only about £12 per year and has all the features of a "proper" Tom Tom. It also has regular free map updates.
Could be worth looking into, specially if you have an old phone you could use as a dedicated satnav.
