I just paid for a poi file of rest stops in Germany. How do I download it? If I go back to that page and click the download button, I just loop back to the page where it says my login name and pin. "Write it down and use it to access your files"
If, by "to find your file" you meant "and find your file", when I find the file, there is a download button, and it results in a page that looks like this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
GPS POI download format:
HI Paul,
The Download page opens in a new window. For some reason your web browser does not bring it up.
Do you use any download manager or javascript blocker? (Don't)
Close all windows and clean your cookies.
Try to download that file using another web browser or computer.
Regards
Man, this is confusing. Even this forum has me confused. When I open the topic, I don't see your latest reply (about clearing cookies, etc). When I make a new reply, I see your latest one. I'm lost.
Anyway, I started from scratch in virgin IE. No dice. I login, get the confusing message about how to login, then go to that POI page and hit the download button. There is no popup window. It sends me to a page like this:
GPS POI download format:

I finally figured it out. The stuff below "POI's in and close to" are the actual files. I'd tried this before, but some of the links just loop back or go to random places, and I happen to pick these and thought these must not be the link. If I cursor over the link, I can see that some of them end in Rest_area-DE. Click on one of these in IE, and... nothing happens! Except, something did happen. Hit ctl-J and the file is there for download.
Very, very confusing interface, but I finally got my file!
